Have you heard the news? The Girl Blue Project is going global. That’s right. Well, at least for the summer of 2013 anyway. Ms. Marlow has decided to cross off another item on her bucket list. Girl Blue has been going strong for over 10 years now and she has decided to use her skills to empower youth in Takoradi and Accra, Ghana! This is an exciting adventure as Girl Blue continues to uphold the principle of collective responsibility on an international level. We are beyond proud of our Girl Blue girls, especially the last group of ladies (pictured below) but it is time to move in a different direction. So we will not have a 2013 summer session this year. But change is good. And speaking of change; we need yours. Dollars would be more helpful but we can make anything work. The Girl Blue Project is seeking monetary and in-kind donations to help with our global efforts. We are volunteering in an orphanage and working with children in need of things many American children take for granted. We want to truly represent. So we are going to Ghana bearing gifts. In order to teach, the Girl Blue way, we need tools. We are asking that you donate any of the items listed on the Girl Blue Donation link: www.thegirlblueproject.org/donate.html or make a tax-deductible contribution to The Girl Blue Project and put Girl Blue Global on your memo for checks/m.o.’s or pay by credit card safely through Paypal.

Stay tuned for our staged reading of SHE in JUNE (Exact date and location to be announced). If you love talented actors, music and poetry you do not want to miss this event. There will be libations, light bites and of course, desserts. Trust us, you will be entertained. Donate any item on our list or bring a check or money order in any amount for admission. Children of all ages welcome. This event will also be honoring the celebration of Juneteenth.

So stop what you are doing and support Girl Blue’s Global efforts.

Girl Blue is planning to empower youth all over the world. One country at a time!!! We must invest in our children. They deserve better. We know better. Make time. Do Better.
